NRA Basic Pistol Class

(Cost: Groups $130.00 per student or private training for $150.00 each)

Course length is 8 hours plus range time

Objectives of the NRA Basic Pistol Class:

• To learn the basics knowledge, skill and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.

• To learn the basics knowledge, skill and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.

• You will also meet the training requirement for obtaining your CT permit to carry pistols and revolvers.

What you will learn:

• Basic Pistol Knowledge (Parts and Functions)

• Safe Gun handling

• Ammunition Knowledge

• Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting

• Selecting a Pistol and Maintenance/Cleaning

• Shooting Positions

• Firing the First Shots

• Opportunities for Skill development

• NRA Basic Firearm Training Program brochure

• Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet

What is provided:

• We will provide the firearms, ammunition, safety gear, and student materials.

• Notary Services are available.

What to bring:

• Identification (Drivers License)

• Notebook and writing utencil.

• Town permit to carry application (if pursuing you pistol permit to carry).
